Minutes
The minutes of the meeting held on 9th November 2015 were agreed and signed – proposed by Cllr Watson and seconded by Cllr Blunt – all in favour.
Matters Arising
Cemetery
It was agreed to leave the pruning until later in the year.
Public Footpaths
North Yorkshire had been informed re the condition of the footpaths and they would investigate and appropriate action would be taken. The AONB had indicated that they may be interested in making this work a project and the Chairman would contact them.
Trees Mowthorpe Lane
Mr Bayes had been contacted but had not yet looked at the trees in question.
Grips Mowthorpe Lane
It was agreed that these grips needed excavating out but this would be done at a later date.
Accounts
Cllr Blunt proposed and Cllr Winning seconded that an account for £18.00
should be paid to the Village Hall for a meeting – all in favour
Balance in the Council bank accounts £6339.22
Precept
Following discussion it was proposed by Cllr Llewis and seconded by Cllr Watson that the precept should remain as last year – £3085.00 – all in favour.
Vacant position on Council
It was with deep regret that we had to discuss the vacant position on the Parish Council.
Residents of the Parish have until the 15th January to register their request to hold an election. Ten requests have to be received. If no election is held the Parish Council will co-opt a new Parish Councillor.
Defibrillator
Information was given by Cllr Lewis that it may be possible to obtain a defibrillator from the British Heart Foundation – the Chairman would investigate this source.
Council Website
The Chairman reported that this was now up and running and if any Cllr had information they would like on the website do bring this forward.
Village Footpaths
The state of the village footpaths would be monitored.
Trees
It was agreed that some trees at the top of New Lane were in a poor condition and Mr Bayes would be asked to investigate.
Cllr Wainwright gave us an up-date on matters at Ryedale District Council particularly in connection with the Wentworth Street Car Park.
Correspondence
Changes to the Bus services The bus service from Terrington to Malton will be reduced to Thursday and Saturday from April 2016.
YLCA suscription will be increased by 4.9% from 2016/17
UK Government Stocks Correspondence had been received from Computershare in respect of a UK government security (gilt) but as the Parish Council were unaware of this the Clerk had contacted them for more information.

Pot Hole on Mowthorpe Lane
Willow Corner Build up of soil from all the rain would be monitored
